Winter is there but we do not stay our winters and it does not chôme in the kitchens!
We have a lot of pots on fire, there will be something to feast on in 2019: various and varied participatory projects, great cultural programming, installation of welcome materials, New edition of our brochure, etc., etc.
On Friday, 22 February, at 6 p.m., it will be the time of our General Assembly. Already remember this appointment to enter the New Year's dance!
The European Heritage Days 2018 were a great success for Cézon, we welcomed nearly 1300 people!
Attendance figures are "historical". We had to open the doors even before the tide had discovered the Ford as the visitors flocked to the beach of Cézon and began to cross "with wet feet"!
The visitors, very often local, told us of their joy to discover this island which seemed to them mysterious although known to all or their surprise by discovering the progress of the sites. Thanks to Heritage days (and the Lotto), the Fort is gaining notoriety and making the local history known to everyone.
On Saturday, visitors were able to enjoy the performances and installations of the artists of the Coopérative 109:
Catherine Le Flochmoan has read excerpts from the play "Blockhouse" by Alexandre Koutchevsky, which she will stage next season in Cézon, with those who wish (if you are interested, do not hesitate to write to us now),
Hughes Germain introduced us "The Look of the sea"… ", a camera obscura created in situ specially,
Christofer Bjurström Enchanted the island with its electronic flute,
Leonor Canales came with Marilyn to liven up the esplanade where pancakes and cakes were served.
On Sunday, Kevin Wright and Olga Bystram transported visitors to a jazzy island, simply with a voice and 6 strings of guitar.
The weekend was also a success thanks to the participation of members of the Association Jardin Archipelago who presented their work and animate the vegetable garden all year round, as well as at the Landé'tour, organized by the Association EOL de Landéda, whose playful stroll And music allowed many walkers to visit Cézon.
A happy weekend on Cézon so, which can also be summed up in pictures:

We had this project in our drawers for a long time, and are delighted to announce that we are there: The book "Cézon, a case in the heart of the Aber Wrac'h" was released!
Conceived with the help of six students of the IUP heritage of Quimper, this book reveals the history and secrets of Cézon and its fort. Returning to Vauban's work, his role in defending the coast, the daily lives of the inhabitants of the fort, and his more contemporary history, the book plunges you into the intimacy of the island…
To buy our book, nothing simpler:
Visit one of our sales outlets in Landéda (useful, BZZT, the Cafe du Port, the Ty Room Workshop) or Lannilis (centre Leclerc, Maison de la Press),
Participate in ad hoc sales according to the activities of the association (e.g. the heritage days on 15 and 16 September),
The sale price of this book is 12 euros, support price for the association and preservation of our heritage. If this book has convinced you of the need to save the fort and you are ready to join us in this beautiful mission, you will find on our site the different ways to help us!
We want to thank all the people who took part in the design of the book, and wish you a very good reading! Once you have devoured our book, all you have to do is visit the island in Flesh and blood: Check out our guided tours!
Fort Cézon is one of 269 projects selected from 2000 French sites in peril. The fortunate elect will be supported by the "Heritage in danger Mission" carried by Stéphane BERN!
This is, for us, a magnificent recognition of our approach and of the reality of the heritage, territorial and cultural value of Fort Cézon!
It is a lever to reinforce the notoriety of our action, to welcome new partners and supporters, who are the guarantors of the sustainability and the culmination of our ambition as well as to develop our project of restoration and Requalification of the Fort.
The heritage at risk mission will be funded by a portion of the Heritage Lottery's gains, next September:
Twelve million copies of scratch games put on sale from 3 September 2018
A special draw of the Super lotto of 13 million euros on Friday 14 September 2018
Thanks to these games, the French games expects that 15 to 20 million euros will be allocated to the specific fund of the Heritage Foundation for the preservation of the heritage at risk, and will therefore be distributed among the 269 project holders, with priority the 18 So-called emblematic monuments. We are not part of it but we can still hope for a serious boost.
